On this episode, I am joined by my cousin Vimisha Gohil. I have known her my whole life and in 2017, it was tough as we saw things take a turn for the worst in her life. She was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called Dermatomyostis which meant her body was attacking itself and impacting her muscles including her heart. She was extremely low on energy levels, she couldn’t move and had to spend 25 days in a hospital.
Her whole life changed when she was told this condition is incurable and she would have to live with this and take medicine everyday to help her. On this podcast, Vimisha talks about her struggles over the last few years, how she has kept a positive mindset, her transition back into work and how she maintained her social life.
